Knowing how to use Content Manager

Content Manager has a very powerful tool that makes modding a lot more easier. It's called Custom Showroom, it also has useful options in developer mode.
Here's a good tutorial about how to enable developer mode in Content Manager as well as some info about the options available.
One of the cool things is that you can extract the data.acd of a car in order to edit the physics and details of the car. The data.acd is built for a specific folder name so if you try to unpack a data.acd on its non original car folder it won't work. Once you have unpacked the data.acd you will have a folder called data that has every file Assetto Corsa use for the car. We will need to edit those files later.
Now in Custom Showroom you have multiple set of options in the small menu on the right
Unpack LOD KN5 is used when you want to extract a kn5 into a fbx. Useful if you want to change something on your car after editing and you don't have the fbx anymore. Or you want to reverse engineer how some Kunos cars are built.
In the car logo menu, you have multiple options that include the drivers (showing the driver in the car, moving him). Playing some animations, showing the physics elements on the car and the Align using Data button which will be very usefull later which translate the fbx into how Assetto Corsa see the car and how it will look in game.
If you click on the arrow to get back to the main menu, and select a part of the car, it will show you the information about that part
Namely, the texture used, the path of the object in the object list, the name of the material and the name of the object. If you want to see what the texture looks like and more info about it, press the 3 dots.
From here you can create an AO map, export the Texture to a location on your computer or even replace the texture on the car model directly. You can also see the mapping of the object on the car.
If you select the 3 dots on the material and change values, you can find the shader used s well as the values used for it. You can also change the Alpha mode if you want to set the transparency of an object. You can also save the preset of those shaders values if you want to use them on another material or even change the material directly without using Blender.
These options will be very useful for the rest of the guide so make sure that you are familiar with Custom Showroom.
